In 1979 inventor and avid sport fisherman Mick Rupp set out to design and manufacture an outrigger system that was easy to use and easy to service, his mission was to produce “the finest outriggers in the world”. Rupp Marine Inc. was founded a year later as demand quickly grew for his superior quality, user friendly designs. The years immediately following incorporation saw a rapid expansion of the Rupp Marine patented product range, which included the invention of the T-top mounted outrigger. Rupp quickly became known as one of the world’s premier marine hardware manufacturers and one of the most recognizable and trusted brands in the sportfishing industry.
