The Compact RAID is one of the smallest versatile storage appliances in the market. It weights just a little over a pound in roughly the size of a 4" cube. Despite its compact size, the Compact RAID packs with the power, features and capabilities equivalent to many large RAID storage devices that are 2 - 3 times more expensive. The Compact RAID can accomodate as many as five 2.5" hard drives or SSD. The drives are easily added or removed from the unit like a tape cartridge without any special tool. RAID configurations is set via a simple dip switch on the back of the unit. Come built-in with a powerful RAID engine and a high speed eSATA connnection, the Compact RAID can deliver a screaming throughput up to 300 Mbytes/sec.
